The Role: Sarah Connor, the mother of iconic resistance leader John Connor, who exists here in an alternate timeline where she's raised and taught to fight by a Terminator from childhood. What Happened: Alongside Orphan Black actress Tatiana Maslany, Brie Larson was a finalist for the part, but likely owing to her greater popularity thanks to Game of Thrones, Paramount opted for the safer choice of Emilia Clarke. Who Should've Got The Part: Larson, definitely. Clarke looks too waifish and cute to be believable as a hardened soldier, whereas Larson proved in The Gambler that she looks great in a black jacket, and she has proven herself to have a little more edge. Plus, she simply looks more believable as a kick-a** femme fatale.
