5. Jack O'Connell - Reed Richards (Fantastic Four)
The Role: Reed Richards, the leader of the Fantastic Four whose alter ego is, of course, Mister Fantastic, giving him the ability to elasticate himself. What Happened: Jack O'Connell made it down to the final four actors to test for Richards (alongside Game of Thrones stars Kit Harington and Richard Madden), but Miles Teller won the part in the end. Who Should've Got The Part: Teller. O'Connell is an on-the-rise talent, but when he was testing for the part, he hadn't yet enjoyed the breakout success of Starred Up, 71 and Unbroken which elevated his profile significantly last year, and so he would've been a risky proposition. Teller is better-known to audiences as a whole with his mainstream work over the last few years, and if anyone doubts his acting abilities, just watch Whiplash.
