The Role: The female lead in the new Star Wars movie, widely believed to be the daughter of Han Solo and Princess Leia: Rey Solo. What Happened: Ronan auditioned for the part, though suspects that she may have ruined her chances because she publically spoke about the audition before the casting was even close to being announced. In a later interview, she said, "I just shouldn't have said anything. I just auditioned for it, like everyone else did", though in fairness, Abrams reportedly favoured unknowns over established actors anyway, so that may be the primary reason why she lost out to Daisy Ridley. Who Should've Got The Part: Ridley. It's obviously early days yet as the film is still in post-production, but Ridley looks very much the part on the speeder. Ronan would have been a fine choice, but casting a lesser-known actress has charms all of its own.
