The Role: Apple co-founder Steve Jobs, featured in the film on the eve of three major product launches which revolutionised the technology world. What Happened: When David Fincher was in consideration to direct the film early last year, his pick for Jobs was Christian Bale, but when Fincher exited, new director Danny Boyle decided he wanted Leonardo DiCaprio instead. When DiCaprio bailed, Boyle then went back to Bale, who was once again cast in the project, before Bale quit for the final time in November. Michael Fassbender was then finally cast in the role, which has since begun shooting (pictured right). Who Should've Got The Part: Bale. He simply has a much closer natural resemblance to the man, which neither Fassbender nor DiCaprio could claim. While Fassbender will most certainly knock it out of the park, he's not quite as strong with accents as Bale (who can forget the constant accent-shifting in X-Men: First Class?), and this'll always leave people wondering..."what if?" Who would you have preferred out of these potential casting picks? Shout it out in the comments!
