13. Michael B. Jordan - Finn (Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens)

The Role: Though little is known about the part other than the name, Finn is heavily rumoured to be a Stormtrooper who abandons his post and becomes one of the series' three new heroes. What Happened: Jordan auditioned for the role, though didn't get the part, and it's possible that it would've conflicted with his schedule for Fantastic Four anyway, for which Jordan had already been cast. The part eventually went to relatively unknown British actor John Boyega (Attack The Block). Who Should've Got The Part: Jordan. He's a more established actor and a much more reliable pick, though perhaps that worked against him in the end, as according to many reports, J.J. Abrams had a preference towards casting lesser-known actors without as much baggage for the new lead roles. Boyega's proven to be a fine actor in his few roles to date, so it's hardly something to worry about, but Jordan would've been a great pick.
