12. Josh Brolin - Owen Grady (Jurassic World)
The Role: The Alan Grant-esque role for Jurassic World, Owen Grady, a dinosaur trainer at the theme park who conducts behavioural research on the velociraptors and, uh, appears to team up with them later in the movie... What Happened: For months, Universal had struggled to find an actor to fill the lead role, deferring mostly to younger stars like John Krasinski, and so it came as some surprise when they began considering the much older Josh Brolin for the same role. Eventually talks broke down, however, and the part was wide open for Chris Pratt, who was fresh off working on Guardians Of The Galaxy, to snag. Who Should've Got The Part: Pratt, unquestionably. Though some of his line deliveries in the trailer are hardly spectacular, it's difficult to imagine Brolin bringing the same level of charm and mass appeal to the movie that Pratt will, given his recent success on Guardians. Plus, it sounds like the character was written as a younger man, and so Brolin probably wouldn't have been the right fit for the part anyway.
