15 Actors Who Could Be The Breakout Stars Of 2015

12. Corey Stoll

A TV actor whose decade of appearing in bit parts in episodes of all the different incarnations of Law & Order and CSI finally paid off with a Golden Globe nomination for his supporting turn in House Of Cards, Stoll's movie career to date is mostly remembered for a cameo pastiche of Hemingway in Woody Allen's Midnight In Paris. 2015, however, will see him with five movie roles, not to mention continuing his ascent to TV leading man as Guillermo del Toro's The Strain continues. Already released in the US, Sudan refugee drama The Good Lie, in which Stoll appears in support of a resurgent Reese Witherspoon, has met with largely positive reviews. This is just the beginning of a busy twelve months that will see Stoll in roles in mystery Dark Places, based on the book by Gone Girl's Gillian Flynn, and Johnny Depp-Benedict Cumberbatch gangster flick Black Mass. It's his role in the summer's biggest tiny movie that may give Stoll a step up to the big time, however, when he faces off against Ant-Man as Marvel's diminutive villain Yellowjacket.
