Before Daisy Ridley took on the probably career-defining role of Rey in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, several upcoming actresses were linked to the film's lead. Jennifer Lawrence and Shailene Woodley were apparently considered, and so too was Elizabeth Olsen.

Only the latter turned down an audition, as she already had a contract with Marvel and couldn't shoot because of Avengers: Age Of Ultron.

What She Made Instead

Avengers: Age Of Ultron. It's never a bad idea to turn down a role in the MCU, but you have to think that Star Wars would have done more for Olsen than Age Of Ultron did. Sure, she had an interesting role in it, and in the first act of Civil War, but she's already been rather unfortunately sidelined, because of the size of the MCU cast.

She might get more chance in Phase 4 and in the run-up to Infinity War, but without her own film, she's no more than a supporting player. And to think she could have been the keystone of at least two more Star Wars movies instead...
