15 Actors Who Stupidly Turned Down Billion Dollar Movies
10. Michael Douglas - Frozen
Michael Douglas claims he hasn't turned anything down - which possibly explains And So It Goes and Beyond a Reasonable Doubt - apart from a small animation about a reindeer and a snowman, as he revealed on The Late Late Show With James Corden:
"When you talk about the pictures that you turn down... I have nothing I turned down except there was one animation picture, just a voiceover, that would have been more profitable for me than any picture I've ever done."
He doesn't remember what role he was up for, but it seems likely he was either set for the Duke of Weselton (Alan Tudyk) or the King of Arendelle (Maurice LaMarche). Assuming he'd have been in for a slice of box office, he'd have been laughing.
What He Made Instead
Last Vegas and Behind The Candelabra. The former - an "old guys valiantly trying to stave off death" comedy - wasn't a patch on Frozen, but Behind The Candelabra was a glorious, under-appreciated gem. But then, there's no way a voice role would require him to turn other jobs down.
