2. Sam Rockwell
The Star Wars movies need a good oddball character and few people play the type better than Sam Rockwell. He's got some sci-fi experience in Moon, and to a lesser extent Galaxy Quest, as well as roles in more serious films such as Frost/Nixon and The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford. Rockwell has long been one of the better character actors in Hollywood and should finally get a chance to show his skills to a larger audience. He should play someone on the New Republic side, probably not a Jedi, whose main role is to provide some comic relief but still have a somewhat serious side.
