What We Know: Mere days after 2013's belated sequel G.I. Joe: Retaliation did surprisingly not-horribly at the box office, Paramount confirmed development of a third movie. To date, first-time writer Aaron Berg has been hired to pen the script, while D.J. Caruso (Disturbia) will direct, with the plot largely focusing on Dwayne Johnson's sizzling addition to the series, Roadblock.
Why It Won't Happen: Apparently Paramount are waiting for The Rock's schedule to open up before moving forward, but honestly, the guy's insanely in-demand nowadays, so is this ever really likely to happen? Plus, now he's involved with so many more lucrative franchises, it's hard to imagine this one being much of a priority.
