What We Know: After the 2007 Disney fantasy comedy Enchanted trounced the box office, it's honestly surprising a sequel wasn't fast-tracked. Active efforts have been made since 2010 to get this follow-up made, with J. David Stem and David N. Weiss (Shrek 2, The Smurfs) writing, while Anne Fletcher (The Proposal) will apparently direct.
Why It Won't Happen: Too much time has passed for starters, and James Marsden himself said the clock was ticking way back in 2011, considering the ageless quality of his and Amy Adams' characters.
A belated sequel a decade after the original just feels like a bad idea, especially as Amy Adams seems so committed to more serious-minded fare these days.
