15 Announced Movies That Will Probably Never Happen

1. Arrested Development

Arrested Development
Netflix/FOX

What We Know: The 2006 season three finale of Fox's cult comedy first teased the possibility of a movie spin-off, with the entire cast set to return while narrator Ron Howard also directs. Since then there's been an extra season on Netflix with one more in the works, after which creator Mitchell Hurwitz apparently aims to get the film made.

Why It Won't Happen: For starters, an Arrested Development movie would almost certainly bomb at the box office, so outside of Netflix there's probably not much studio interest here. Plus, what would a movie allow these characters to do that the TV show couldn't? We all know how bad most movies based on TV series go, so why not just maintain some dignity and keep to the TV format?

Which "in development" movies do you most suspect we'll never see? Shout them out in the comments!
