1. Batman
Who else? Batman is the ultimate human superhero, fighting with his tactical nous, his gadgets and his supreme hand to hand ability - with absolutely no superpowers. The caped crusader has been portrayed in live action movies by no less than four actors across seven movies; Michael Keaton (Batman, Batman Returns), Val Kilmer (Batman Forever), George Clooney (Batman and Robin) and Christian Bale (The Dark Knight Trilogy) have all donned the black suit, while Ben Affleck is due to play a rebooted Batman in the recently announced Batman Vs Superman movie. Utilising his supreme skills, Batman has been able to go against opponents like Bane (twice), who has been pumped up on venom and completely immune to pain in his two separate adaptations, Mister Freeze (an armoured villain with freeze rays) and various super-geniuses like the Joker (twice) and the Riddler - along with their countless henchman - by simply training very hard and utilising cool technology. No doubt once his little on-screen spat with Superman is over, we will see the human hero going up against some truly big-time villains as part of a live action Justice League - and that is something we all can't wait to see.
