Release Date: September 18 The Plot: Police officer Kate Macy (Emily Blunt) joins a covert CIA operation to bring down a Mexican cartel boss, heading across the border with two mercenaries which sees her morality pushed to its breaking point. Why It's Going To Be Awesome: Denis Villeneuve broke into the Hollywood mainstream with the one-two punch that was Prisoners and Enemy in 2013, so he's proven beyond all doubt that he can handle epic thriller material. Blunt meanwhile showed in Edge of Tomorrow that she's totally believable in the action-thriller arena, and with a cast also including Benicio del Toro (as one of the brutal mercenaries teaming up with Macy), Josh Brolin (the CIA recruiter who assembles the mission) and Joe Bernthal, what's not to like?
