15 Awesome Scenes From Trailers That Were Stupidly Cut From The Film
3. Harry Potter (Multiple)
The Harry Potter films started out as family friendly fantasies, but, identical to the books, they swiftly got darker and more epic. It's testament to the films' varying screenwriters then that the dialogue didn't become hokey. And it's testament to the trailer editors that many of the lines we associate most with the series don't actually appear in the movie.
Harry's "He's getting closer, I can feel it!" from The Goblet Of Fire, the iconic exchange between Harry and Voldemort Why do you live?", "Because I have something worth living for," in the final film and, worst of all, Snape's droll "It's over" following killing Dumbledore in The Half Blood Prince all don't show up in their respective final films.
There're more than these, but those three lines in particular are so enticing it was a damned shame to see them cut. Harry Potter trailers suffered from lots of scenes left out from the final cut, often due to yet-to-be-done effects work, but these lines stand out for being so awesome.
