15. Obsessed (2009) - Idris Elba
RottenTomatoes Score: 19%
The Plot: Derek Charles (Elba) finds himself stalked by a deranged office temp, Lisa (Ali Larter), causing his wife Sharon (Beyoncé) to suspect an affair. Lisa's behaviour becomes increasingly more psychotic throughout the film, and you can guess how this one ends.
Why It Sucks: This is basically a lame-brained take on a Fatal Attraction-esque scenario but slapped with a PG-13 label, meaning that it pretty much plays out like a neutered Lifetime version of that classic film. Logic is frequently abandoned, the plot is woefully generic, and it's painfully obvious that the three central performers are just cashing a pay-cheque, with Larter marginally putting in the most effort as the psycho b**** villain. Elba, on the other hand, just looks weird these days without his signature facial hair, and he's clearly thoroughly disinterested throughout. Sadly he doesn't inject some much-needed B-movie ham into the movie's sillier moments, which makes it an even duller slog than it should be. Thankfully Luther scooped him up the next year followed by Marvel the year after, and he's never looked back since (though that didn't stop him making the also-terrible thriller No Good Deed last year).
