5. Harrison Ford
Fords name has already come up as a possibility for The Expendables 3, and there is a reason for it. There is very little that needs to be said about Han Solo, Indiana Jones, Jack Ryan, Rick Deckard, Ford, other than affirming hes rightful place in the pantheon of Hollywood supermen. Ford is very good at playing the disinterested hero, so it would make perfect sense that trouble comes to him rather than the other way around. Cue Ford living the quiet life in the mountains, when some bad guys try to wipe him out whilst setting up a nearby missile compound. Ford fights back, and being an old friend of Barney Ross, soon gains the assistance of The Expendables to help him cause some serious havoc.
Possible Weapon: Nothing too flashy. Maybe an old hunting rifle and an axe.
6. Dwayne The Rock Johnson
Weve all been smelling what The Rock has been cooking for a few years now. And although some of it smells remarkably like poo (Journey 2, Get Smart), the majority of it smells like sweat and pure testosterone. Johnson has firmly established himself as a front-runner for action star of this generation, but also seeks to define himself as more than just a beef headed one-man army. Johnson has a double threat of strength and comedy: arms like Schwarzenegger in his prime and the attitude of Bruce Willis John McClane. Throw that into the mix of The Expendables and you have something both serendipitously and outlandishly awesome: a marker of action heroes throughout the generations, but also a fresh face to accompany Jason Stathams Lee Christmas. In-jokes could run rampant between Johnson and Randy Couture (both being professional fighters), and a tense chemistry between Johnson and Dolph Lundgrens Gunnar Jensen would seem naturally convenient. Johnson could come in as a new recruit with nothing to lose. A likely inlet would be disgraced Marine, recruited in by Church. In other words, he would have to hit rock bottom and be given the peoples elbow by the Marine Core, before he could rise up as a champion.
