They can't be too dissimilar from computers or those robots the guys at Honda make. The electronic nature of droids means that we can assume that they need neither shade from the beating sun of Tatooine, food or water. Though extremely comical, these images remind us that the greatest robotic pair in the history of cinema €“ C3PO and R2D2 €“ are nothing more than people in very well made robot suits. The bickering pair are the only characters who recur in every single Star Wars film so being aware that they the R2D2 operator is snacking between takes and that C3PO is taking constant sips of his delicious lemonade reminds us that the galaxy far, far away was never real.
