It's impossible not to be impressed as these enlightened-humans make supernatural leaps through the air, dodging bullets while they fire off plenty of their own at their attackers. Witnessing how these shots were actually achieved certainly compromises the impact these sequences had when we first experienced them way back in 1999. 2. Rose Saved From Certain Death
20th Century FoxAs Rose contemplates suicide to allow her to escape from the banal comfort of upper-class early twentieth century life with its marriages of convenience, sparkling silverware and 1st class cabins on the Titanic, she accidentally slips off the side of the boat and nearly falls into the icy Atlantic below. It is only thanks to Jack a homeless young man who had luckily been nearby that she was able to get back on the gigantic ship's deck. Knowing that Rose was actually only a few feet above the ground undoes all the tension of the moment. This sequences is pivotal in the film's narrative as it is this moment which sows the seeds which blossom into the affair the two star-crossed lovers begin on the ship.
