15 Best Horror Movies On Netflix Right Now
2. It Follows
Famous as being one of the best indie flicks in the horror world, It Follows is still as creepy now as it was when it shocked and terrified audiences back in 2015.
The story follows Jay, a high school student who, after a night of fornication with her boyfriend, begins to see things following her wherever she goes. It's revealed that the creature, whilst hindered to just a walking pace, can take any shape and will continue to follow her unless she can pass it on by sleeping with someone else.
Everything from the creepy looks the creature takes to the subtle, off-focus signs of the creature occasionally coming up behind Jay in certain scenes makes this one of the most creepy titles on Netflix right now. Even something as simple as David Robert Michell's use of wide angle lenses creates a whole new way of watching It Follows, allowing audiences to scan every inch of what Jay sees and adding to the paranoid feeling of knowing It could be on the horizon at any second.
The film is currently rated at 83/100 on Metacritic, but shoots all the way up on Rotten Tomatoes with an approval rating of 91%.
