15 Best Horror Movies On Netflix Right Now

9. The Boy

A film stacked full of promise and potential, The Boy may be one of the more polarising inclusions on this list but rarely ever finds itself being boring. The unnerving beauty of Craigdarroch Castle plays the star role in the movie as Greta Evans accepts a job offer as a nanny for the elderly Heelshire couple and their son, Brahms.

Brahms turns out to be a small, creepy-looking doll but the Heelshire's treat him as if he were a living, breathing child. Along with her general nanny duties, Greta is given a list of rules for looking after the house and Brahms that she must adhere to, including playing music loudly, not letting any food go to waste and kissing this doll every single night.

A fairly linear supernatural story about a creepy doll gets flipped on its head however with the film's infamous twist that make the film worth a watch on its own.

Grossing $68 million against a budget of only 10, The Boy really is one of Netflix's most infamous horror flicks. Rotten Tomatoes gave it a score of just 30% and Metacritic wasn't much higher at 42/100, though the film did find some fans over at GQ and The Wrap.
