15 Best Horror Movies To Watch On Netflix This Halloween
Netflix and Kill.
The first thing to say about Netflix's horror selection at the beginning of this list is that it's pretty weak. With Halloween approaching, you'd think the streaming service would've looked to accrue some serious titles, and while there are certainly a couple, for the most part the list palls in comparison to some of the other genres. (Last week I complied a 20 Hidden Gems of Sci-Fi list, and was surprised by the dearth of material available. And that was for supposed 'hidden gems', meaning that there were many more more-famous sci-fi movies that didn't even get to make the list.) You can only work with what you're given, though, so the following list represents - for the most part - the best of a bad bunch. (Don't worry, there are a handful of classics and a couple of hidden gems, too, so not all is lost). Overall it makes for a scary, watchable list, and I suppose that's all you really need for Halloween anyway. The list works to the following criteria, which is twofold: Each title appears in either the Horror section of Netflix, or the newly added Halloween Favourites section, which has drafted a few titles in from other genres that are thus now eligible for this list. That's it. Note: This list adheres to the US version of Netflix.
