3. Rosemary's Baby

After Rosemary and Guy Woodhouse move into their new apartment and begin trying to have a baby, they notice they have rather strange neighbours and weird and unexplainable occurrences start happening.

The couple next door, Minnie and Roman Castevet start inserting themselves into Rosemary's life and become overbearing and controlling.

The Castevets are peculiar individuals who dress strangely and behave in a quirky way. It is revealed that they are the leaders of a satanic cult of witches that wish to use Rosemary as the vessel to carry the son of Satan in her womb.

Rosemary's Baby is an all time classic of horror and the Castevets make for incredibly compelling villains. Ruth Gordon even won a Best Supporting Actress Oscar for her work on the film.

The film delves into the lengths of paranoia a person can experience as everyone seems to be in league with the Castevets' cult including Rosemary's husband Guy. Psychologically, it doesn't get much better than Rosemary's Baby.
