15 Biggest Guilty Pleasure Movies Of 2018
14. Venom
By recent superhero movie standards, Venom is really pretty bad, but if there's one reason its wildly outmoded plot and characters can be vaguely forgiven, it's the abject weirdness of Tom Hardy being involved in a movie this workmanlike in 2018.
To his credit, Hardy infuses just about every scene with peculiar acting choices, which results in either toe-curling cringe or uproarious laughter depending on the scene.
In that respect it's certainly not boring, and is enough of a fascinating car crash tonally and creatively that it's almost compulsively watchable.
"Best" Moment: So many to choose from, but the most giggle-worthy surely has to be the mid-credits reveal of Woody Harrelson as Cletus Kasady aka Carnage...which is basically just Harrelson in an awful ginger wig.
And because that's not laughable enough, he even tells Eddie Brock (Hardy), "There's gonna be Carnage." Awful by any conventional metric, but probably the single most entertaining moment in the entire movie.
