8. The Hurricane Heist
Somehow, Rob "The Fast & The Furious" Cohen is still making movies that actually get theatrical releases, and his latest is this delightfully bonkers heist romp.
When you've got a mere $35 million budget to shoot a vehicular heist flick, what makes more sense than throwing some anthropomorphic CGI hurricanes into the mix?
Seriously, there's a scene at the beginning of this film where a hurricane forms the shape of a skull, and it's something alright.
Nobody could accuse this film of taking itself too seriously, and if you're in the market for some braindead, low-rent thrills, you can't really go wrong with this unrepentant hokum.
"Best" Moment: Nothing in this film is more endearingly stupid than the thieves' plan: to use a Category 5 hurricane as a cover for robbing a bank.
The scene where protagonist Will (Toby Kebbell) murders one of the goons by throwing a hubcap like a frisbee, though, comes pretty damn close.
