12. Marvel Reveals Guardians Of The Galaxy Animated Series

Marvel is incredibly confident in James Gunn's upcoming space epic Guardians of the Galaxy, which is riding a wave of positive buzz (currently standing at an astounding 100% on Rottentomatoes.com) as it heads into its August 1st release. They've already announced a sequel (which we'll get to in a minute) and revealed their plans for an animated series at SDCC on Saturday. They didn't specify when the series would premiere, but specified that it would air on Disney XD; which is unsurprising, since that's where their other animated series are housed. The Guardians of the Galaxy series joins other Marvel shows Avengers Assemble and Hulk And The Agents Of S.M.A.S.H., which just got renewed for second seasons. They also have a Spider-Man-centric series, Marvel's Ultimate Spider-Man: Web Warriors (formerly known simply as Ultimate Spider-Man), set to begin its third season on August 31st.
