Over on the DC side of superhero animation, Warner Brothers released information about two new animated feature films, which will arrive in 2015 after the upcoming Aquaman-centric film Justice League: Throne of Atlantis. The first is called Batman Versus Robin, a sequel to this year's Son of Batman. The story will be loosely based on the recent Scott Snyder/Greg Capullo New 52 storyline The Court Of Owls. Batman and Robin never face off in that run, so it will likely adapt parts of the story, much like Son of Batman utilized bits and pieces of the eponymous Grant Morrison/Andy Kubert tale. The second feature is an original story from Batman: The Animated Series co-creator Bruce Timm, called Justice League: Gods & Monsters. There is a 2001 JLA comic book story of the same name, but since this is specifically cited as an original story, the two will likely share name alone. Exact release dates and plot details weren't revealed, so we'll have to keep those projects on our radar for now. In the meantime, we have the aforementioned Justice League: Throne of Atlantis to look forward to, and this year's Batman: Assault on Arkham (which hits home release and digital download on August 12th).
