15 Cinema Legends You Won't Believe Have Never Won Oscars

14. Mia Farrow

Woody Allen has been nominated 24 times for an Oscar, winning four. It's perhaps a surprise then that his one-time muse turned bitter, bitter enemy Mia Farrow has fared much worse at the Awards; like Donald Sutherland, she's never even been nominated. Farrow has received seven Golden Globe nominations, winning one for her role in Rosemary's Baby, which also saw her scoop a BAFTA in 1969. Ruth Gordon received the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for her role in the film, but that year Best Actress was tied between Katharine Hepburn (The Lion In Winter) and Barbra Streisand (Funny Girl). The Purple Rose Of Cairo also saw her scoop a BAFTA, a Golden Globe and a Saturn Award, but wasn't recognised at all at the Oscars. Considering how many award nominations Farrow received early on in her career, it's a shock that she's won so few. She was however nominated for Worst Actress at 1982's Golden Raspberries, for A Midsummer Night's Sex Comedy. That's an award no one really wants to win. Except Halle Berry. When she won it, she was thrilled.
