15 Crazy Facts You Just Have To Accept To Enjoy The Dark Knight Trilogy

12. Two-Face Should Have Been Saved For The Dark Knight Rises

It was known long ahead of time that Aaron Eckhart's Harvey Dent would be transformed into Two-Face over the course of The Dark Knight, though it was widely expected that this transformation would be the climax of the film, and the character would be saved for a showdown with Batman in the third film. What a surprise it was, then, that Dent's arc was essentially rushed through in the final act of the movie, having his faced horribly burned and being manipulated by The Joker into killing people, before facing off against Batman and being killed. Even though it all worked out pretty well considering the little time Nolan had to make Two-Face work, it's hard to deny that the whole arc was totally rushed through, and given how The Joker was the focus of The Dark Knight, a more sensible option would have been to save Two-Face for The Dark Knight Rises, especially considering how excellent Eckhart was in the part, and how little he really got to do with it, screen time-wise.
