15 Deeply Tasteless Films That Will Offend Everyone

11. The Hangover Part II

Movie 43 Hugh Jackman
Warner Bros.

The first Hangover was undeniably rude, raunchy and offensive but it had just the right level of inappropriateness.

This time around, the jokes are dialed up to 11 and instead of being funny, they're completely repulsive. For example, in the first film Stu accidentally gets married to a stripper; in this one, he has sex with a shemale prostitute and there's a very disturbing reveal scene. This is supposed to be funny? Filled with racist jokes, excessive raunchiness, sexism and even jokes about the learning disabled, this really is about as ugly as mainstream comedies get.

But why doesn't the offensive humor work this time? The answer is that this time it goes too far and becomes uncomfortable instead of funny, while it also lacks likability. Given how loud, vulgar and dark the film is, not to mention the fact that the film's characters are continuously complete d**ks, it's an utterly hateful movie. If anything, this awful sequel shows that making jokes ruder never automatically makes them funnier.

Even the once-hilarious Alan isn't fun to watch this time, since it's made explicitly clear that he has some sort of problem (ADHD medication is mentioned).
