15 Most Epic Trailer Moments From 2014's Biggest Films

2. 12 Years A Slave - "I Want To Live!"

Sometimes you just know that a line of dialogue is going to be special. With its weighty context, taking the dialogue that preceded it into account, and of course the delivery: "I don't want to survive. I want to live!" The words will ring true with anyone who has ever had to fight for survival, past and present. And such is Chiwetel Ejiofor's (I'll never be able to pronounce that name) delivery, it manages to stand out against a trailer that screams emotion at you and cover you in goosebumps. If we had the power to give someone an Oscar now I would give it to him on the basis of that line of dialogue alone. God only knows how I'll cope when I watch the entire film. We're expecting the opposite to the other recent controversial film that revolves around slavery, Django Unchained. This will be, judging by US reviews (I'm starting to see an unfortunate trend here), a powerful, thoughtful, hard-hitting drama that will make you cry rather than laugh. Expect awards aplenty.
