15 Most Epic Trailer Moments From 2014's Biggest Films

1. Godzilla - First Glimpse

A few of us saw the shorter teaser trailer leaked onto the internet that gave us the first glimpse of the monster with its ear-deafening roar. It raised all of the individual hairs on the backs of our necks and we took great pleasure in expressing at how speechless we were to those that had missed it before Warner Bros. rushed to remove it from the Internet. However, those who had missed it turned out to be the lucky ones. The newer, improved, longer, legally released trailer slowly increases the tension as Aaron Taylor-Johnson and a bunch of other badasses await to jump out of a plane. They do so, and what they and ourselves see is shocking beyond belief, completely out of this world. We see the scaly tale, the outline of the beast through the dust and rubble of the broken city, and we feel the fear of the soldiers as it unleashes its shriek. The wonderfully made trailer teases us to the point where we want to scream, only showing us glimpses of Godzilla, making it superior to many other trailers out there. Sometimes its about what you don't show, and it would probably serve the film better if the entirety of Toho's humungous creature wasn't shown throughout the whole duration of the marketing campaign, forcing audiences to buy a ticket if they are wanting to see Godzilla in all of its frightful glory. Have I missed out your favourite trailer, or moment from a trailer already listed? Do you disagree with me to the point that The Expendables 3 is the best trailer for 2014 films so far? Comment below so that I can disagree with you, and punish you by sending Iko Uwais, Caesar and Godzilla round to your house to crush you!
