15 Essential Horror Movies Since 2000 You Might've Missed
10. Feast
If The Battery stands for intelligently scripted horror concerned with character over carnage, then Feast sits at the opposite end of the spectrum where all the loud, silly, excessively gory horror movies reside. Taking the single location conceit used by countless horror movies over the years, Feast sees a group of random strangers holed up in a bar as they come under attack from vicious monsters. The character's names speak to their deliberately archetypal portrayal - Hero, Heroine, Bozo and Beer Guy make up the list of folk ready to be dispatched in increasingly gory fashion. Interspecies rape and gruesome decapitations are just some of the delights horror fans can expect from Feast - and if you keep your eyes peeled there's a cameo from Jason Mewes thrown in for good measure.
