1. Toy Story
You all knew it had to come. Pixar's full-length feature debut gave steam to what we know as CG animated films today.
They were tasked with making a cast that would fit within the the capabilities of computer software at the time. Because of the rubbery feeling it gave to everything on the time of production, Pixar decided to make their first movie about toys coming to life when their kid leaves the room.
The film became an instant classic and sprouted questions of where the medium would be taken in the foreseeable future. Being people of the future, we can agree that it certainly had a long-lasting effect in cinema since most big budget films now have CGI involved one way or another.
Whether the visual aesthetic retained an applicable quality in the limelight of today's standards we'll continue to look back on this film for the cherished memories it provided and influence it had on the genre.
