5. Pale Blue Dot (2019)

The directorial debut of Noah Hawley (the man who brought Legion to the small screen for FX), Pale Blue Dot is loosely based on the true story of astronaut Lucy Cola, who drove 900 miles (wearing space nappies to speed up the trip so she didn't have to stop for toilet breaks) with a BB gun and knife to "confront" her lover, Cathleen Shipman, in 2007.

The first image from the project sees Natalie Portman suited up as Cola as she struggles to readjust to regular life on Earth. It's unclear how closely the movie will stick to the real-life events, but the story itself is so larger than life that Hawley should have plenty of material to work with.
