8. The Tax Collector (2019)

After experimenting with big-budget superhero movies and then diving headfirst into the world of Netflix, David Ayer is returning to the genre he loves with 2019's The Tax Collector. While the plot is currently unknown, the Shia Labeouf-starring crime thriller is set to once again revel in the same violent themes that made projects such as End of Watch so successful.

Even from the single released still, the movie is very clearly a David Ayer joint, setting the same tone that pretty much all of his flicks (even Suicide Squad) have thrived on.
