It's abundantly clear that the DCEU is racing to catch up with the MCU, which kicked off in 2008 and slowly built towards 2012's Avengers movie with five prior movies that sufficiently built up the central line-up.

Justice League is the DCEU's fourth movie and will kick off with only half the League actually having substantial screne time prior, which is easy to be discouraged by given the riskiness of characters like Aquaman and Cyborg.

While Justice League is pressing ahead regardless, if they pull it off, they might want to slow down and really focus on fashioning their characters before brute-forcing these tentpole movies that, so far, have fallen below expectations.

Marvel patiently let their world grow, whereas DC are worried about missing out on the superhero boom and are ironically leaving hundreds of millions of dollars on the table as a result.
