The Discovery's erstwhile captain is likely to be forever remembered as platinum-haired baddie Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter franchise, but the actor's best turn - and indeed, best film - arguably comes in the shape of Armando Iannucci's juicily constructed satire about the Soviet leadership power struggle following the General Secretary's demise in 1953.

As Marshal Georgy Zhukov - gloriously outfitted with a thick, booming Yorkshire accent no less - Isaacs turns up halfway through an already brilliant film and promptly steals it whenever he's on screen.

Though some critics had their nitpicks in regards to historical inaccuracies - aside from the fact nobody bothered to sound Russian - the bitingly black comedy was by and large a rousing success, near doubling its budget in box office returns and cementing Iannucci as one of the pre-eminent political writes for the medium of our time.

Something of a culture vulture, Mr Steel can historically be found in three places; the local cinema, the local stadium or the local chip shop. He is an avowed fan of franchise films, amateur cricket and power-chords.
