3. Tim Thomerson
It's possible that many of the fans of cult cinema reading this won't have heard of Tim Thomerson. How, then, does he feature so high up on the list? Well, Thomerson is included because he absolutely epitomises the idea of the cult actor. He has appeared in a ridiculous number of films (even the likes of Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas, one of the greatest cult films of all time), has shown up in many incredibly popular TV series (Xena, Sabrina The Teenage Witch, Sirens), and he's even done the cult actor cliché of providing voices for video game characters. He works seriously hard, he is very good at what he does... and next to no-one actually knows who he is. His fans are truly dedicated to him, of course, but for someone so prolific, he's really marginalised even within the realms of cult cinema. It's a sad state of affairs, but is fairly typical of the way that B-movie stars' careers go. He's been around for 40 years now, and he's still going strong. Perhaps including him this high on the list will encourage some fans of cult movies to go and seek out some of his work (or realise they've already seen him many times before).
