15 Greatest Ever Guilty Pleasure Action Movies

6. The Fifth ElementColumbia PicturesColumbia PicturesThis is one of those movies that defines being so bad its good. A down on his luck taxi driver, a desperate priest, and genetically engineered woman must save the planet earth from ultimate evil. This is the movie that launched Milla Jovovich as an action star. I€™ll use this as a place holder for all the Resident Evil movies that could also go on this list. A movie like this is really meant to be watched and almost not listened to. The futuristic cities and technology are beautiful to look at. The plot is unimportant and the dialogue can be ignored throughout. The primary antagonist is evil incarnate, a giant rock heading on a collision course with earth. If you want an example of the lack of subtlety in this movie, watch any scene with Gary Oldman. One side of his head is shaved and he speaks with a squeaky almost effeminate quality all while being a murderous sociopath. His name is Jean-Baptiste Emanuel Zorg. Even most Bond villains would think this guy was crazy. You can watch this movie just to wonder what all of them were thinking when they made it and how this made it to the big screen. The fight scenes are not Director Luc Besson€™s best work but, that isn€™t the point of this movie. Bruce Willis is playing a blond version of the John McClane-esque character we all love. Jovovich€™s line delivery is often actually quite funny and her acrobatics are impressive. She is probably the best part of the movie, stay tuned for all of her scenes. Best line: "Multipass!" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VkX7dHjL-aY
