If you're too young to remember The Archie Show (and if you're reading this without the aid of bifocals then that could very well be the case), it was a Saturday morning cartoon series based on Archie comics. The show followed the zany misadventures of five teenagers from Riverdale High School, and was over in a tidy thirty minutes.

Each episode contained a "dance of the week" segment that featured a new song performed by The Archies. (Named because Archie was the frontman and everyone had damn well better know that straight out of the gate.)

Their most well-known song from the show, "Sugar, Sugar", even reached the top of the Billboard Hot 100 in 1969. That's a mighty impressive feat for a fictional band.

Best Song: "Get on the Line"

A simple, syrupy pop song with just a hint of psychedelic flair.
