Perhaps what is most thrilling about Davis' theme is how simple it is, but the weight that it carries is amazing. The theme becomes such an integral part of the trilogy, so associated with the trademark digital rain, that the rush of adrenaline you get when it opens each film is absolutely thrilling. Though fans have found the two sequels, Reloaded and Revolutions, to be rather divisive, one can't deny that Davis' theme for the trilogy is something really special.
