15 Harry Potter Characters Who Deserve Their Own Movie

13. Luna Lovegood

Severus Snape Goblet Of Fire
Warner Bros.

It's a shame that Luna Lovegood wasn't introduced to us until The Order of the Phoenix, because from her very first scene, she was just excellent. We can't help but feel that we were robbed of four movies worth of her unique brand of whimsy and wonder.

She has gone through so much in her life, from seeing her mother die at just age nine, and being held captive at Malfoy Manor, but she still became a great witch. She became an integral part of Dumbledore's Army, and put her life on the line for the cause one more than one occasion.

Her story after the Battle is no less interesting, as she went on to become a Magizoologist. While we do already have the Fantastic Beasts franchise, this seems to be veering towards Grindelwald and Dumbledore more so than the creatures themselves, and Luna would surely look at these beasts in her own different, unique way.

Let's be honest, Ravenclaw House deserves more recognition that it has previously had on screen, and there would be no one better to achieve this than Miss. Lovegood. There would also be the potential for a cameo from Newt Scamander, since his grandson Rolf ultimately married the would be protagonist of the movie.
