15 Horror Movies That Actually Need Remakes

15. Jeepers Creepers (2001)

The Original: Hyped up as one of the scariest movies ever made upon release, Jeepers Creepers follows a brother and sister (Justin Long and Gina Philips) as they're relentlessly pursued by a beast known only as The Creeper. Sadly, after a strong opening act, the film gives way to an increasing level of absurdity, namely revealing the Creeper to be a preposterous-looking winged...thing. Why It Needs A Remake: The concept and mythology are so good that it'd make sense to see someone else take a stab at the material. Ditch the lame duck second half, keep the Creeper more in shadow and spend a little extra money on the practical wing effects so they don't look so godawful. How Likely Is It?: 5/10. It's certainly possible, though really depends on whether the long-gestating Jeepers Creepers 3: Cathedral ever actually gets made first. Give it another 5-10 years and this one could easily end up back in the studio sausage factory, hopefully with a little thought about where the original went wrong.
