13. Jennifer's Body (2009)
The Original: Back when people still cared about Megan Fox, Jennifer's Body was created as a vehicle to show off how sexy she was and not a whole lot else. Diablo Cody followed up her Juno screenplay with this dubious black comedy, which was intermittently entertaining but ultimately didn't try hard enough as either a horror or a comedy. Why It Needs A Remake: The premise is simple and solid, and honestly, it's a surprise the film wasn't more of a hit (it only nearly doubled its budget). Hire a more talented actress for the lead (who still happens to be drop-dead gorgeous, mind), and with a more incisive script Jennifer's Body could easily be a fantastic horror film. Sex, gore and demented comedy: in the right hands, it's a slam dunk. How Likely Is It?: 4/10. It won't happen for a while, but give it another decade or so and it's easy to imagine bored Hollywood executives green-lighting this one. At least they won't be "butchering" a classic.
