Release Date: October 26 (UK), November 6 (US) The Hype: Coming hot off the heels of one of Bond's best outings yet in Skyfall, director Sam Mendes, writer John Logan and star Daniel Craig have a lot to live up to, but with an absolutely insane, all-star cast including Christoph Waltz (playing the villain, of course), Lea Seydoux, Monica Bellucci, Andrew Scott, Dave Bautista and all the other usual suspects, it would have to do a lot wrong to be another Quantum of Solace. How Well Will It Do?: It's probably unrealistic to expect Spectre to top Skyfall's $1.1 billion box office, but it'll probably still pull in at least $900 million worldwide, and given that all three of Craig's movies have scored decent-to-strong critical acclaim, this one surely won't score under 70% with the pundits. Awards, on the other hand, are a total crap shoot: even Skyfall only scooped technical and musical nods, so unless Spectre somehow manages to top it, it's best not to expect much here. But a great Bond film is its own reward, no?
