Release Date: November 6 (US & UK) The Hype: Colm Tóibín's award-winning novel is adapted for the screen by Nick Hornby while John Crowley (Boy A, True Detective) directs, as Saoirse Ronan plays an Irish immigrant living in 1950s Brooklyn who is torn between the allure of her new home and the past ghosts of her life in Ireland. Co-stars include Domhnall Gleeson, Julie Walters and Jim Broadbent. How Well Will It Do?: Since its Sundance premiere back in January, the film has received extremely strong reviews, currently sitting at an astonishing 100% with critics, and don't expect that number to shift below 90% once upon general release. The low budget combined with Oscar hype should see the box office do just fine, while in terms of awards themselves, the film is most certainly one of the strongest contenders to emerge so far.
