15 Insufferable Horror Movie Characters You Secretly WANTED To Die

6. Wendy - Prom Night

Unfriended 2014
AVCO Embassy Pictures

While reasonably high-profile, this 1980s Slasher film isn't very good but it does still serve as an epitomising example of the classic slasher film. It's got a Final Girl, gory murders, young adult characters, a guilty secret, chase scenes and a hateful victim whose death probably provoked cheers of joy in cinema showings: Wendy (Eddie Benton).

She and three friends, when they were eleven, accidentally caused a young girl to fall to her death and they've covered it up; now, someone who witnessed the death is killing them one by one in revenge.

Wendy is essentially your stereotypical high school mean girl and the quintessential unlikable slasher movie victim. She feels no remorse for being partly responsible for the death of an eleven year-old girl and she spends the entire film treating everyone like garbage and plotting to humiliate the film's Final Girl, Kim (Jamie Lee Curtis), just because she's going out with Wendy's ex-boyfriend. Wendy also keeps hitting on the ex-boyfriend in front of Kim.

The main nice thing that can be said about this one is that she participates in a great chase scene before being axed by the film's killer.
