15 Insufferable Horror Movie Characters You Secretly WANTED To Die

8. Heather, Josh And Michael - The Blair Witch Project

Unfriended 2014
Artisan Entertainment

In this famous and influential found-footage horror film, three student filmmakers - Heather Donahue, Michael C. Williams and Joshua Leonard, which are the real-life names of the actors - go missing while filming a documentary about the Blair Witch. A year later their footage is found and this footage makes up the film.

Although all three of them are very well-played, even those who like the film (a number that's shrinking with each passing year due to how badly the film is ageing) will agree that the characters are a group of insufferable A-holes, especially Heather.

They spend the whole film whining, shouting at each other, dropping F-bombs and complaining, so spending 90 minutes with these guys is not exactly fun. Josh is a little better, but that's only really because he doesn't do an awful lot and is just sort of... there.

As for you'll hate most, although Heather is a likely candidate you might actually despise Mike a tiny bit more, since the group get lost and what does he do? He throws their only map into a creek because he's frustrated.

Seriously, who would do that?

Still, these guys aren't quite the most annoying camera-operators in found-footage history...
